I have the same program running on a Red Hat Enterprise Linux Workstation 6.6. I am not sure if this happens to every IDL users, but after upgrading to macOS Sierra and xQuartz 2.7.11, the response rate of my IDL widgets becomes unacceptably slow. On Leopard, Ive got it in /usr/X11/include/freetype2/freetype/freetype.h (plus some locations definitely associated with Xcode).
